The Bobo Doll study has several interesting results though, like any study they are subject to flaws. The results of this study do show evidence of increased aggressive behavior when mimicking an adult but they don't show the full reasons for it. There are a number of variables that could influence a child's perception of the behavior. One is that they may simply be mimicking the adult because they see the adult as a sort of role model. Or they want to please an adult by appearing smart. Another view is that they do the classic human trait of adapting to there surroundings and the people inhabiting them. There are other factors that limit the validity of this study also. One of the key ones is that the subjects were all selected from the same ethnic grouping and environment. TI do however believe that there is some validity for aggression. Primarily because of the differentiation between males and females. This has been (In most cases true) That men are naturally more aggressive than women. This would lend support to some of the conclusions made in the Bobo Doll experiment but overall there are too many unrestricted variables to attribute the tendencies shown by the children to any one trait.
